We visited beautiful Dubrovnik, Korcula and Hvar at probably the busiest and hottest time of the year. The fact that we still really liked them despite the crowds and the heat is testament to the beauty of these places.

The UK is, relatively speaking, a small country, but it has an abundance of beautiful landscapes and fascinating places to visit. Sometimes the sun shines too, which makes days out and holidays ‘at home’ even nicer.
Here are some of our days out and holidays in and around the UK.

We had long wanted to visit the great white continent and finally managed to do so in December 2017. We had a few very interesting days in Buenos Aires and a brief stay in Ushuaia, Argentina, too.

New Zealand had long been on our list of places in the World we both wanted to visit. After lots of saving, we finally managed to spend the best part of a month in this most beguiling, beautiful country. This was a self-organised trip and it was full of delights.
We visited both the North and South islands as you can read at: http://traveltales.co.uk/welcome/new-zealand-20089/
We love Italy but had never been to Sicily before 2013 when we visited Palermo, Agrigento, Taormina, Siracuse and Gole Alcantara.
Our trip to Peru coincided with a special birthday celebration as Bev had long wanted to see Machu Picchu. As well as visiting this iconic location, we took in Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Puno, Cuzco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas and, very briefly, Lima.

We visited Thailand in 2010, taking in the frenetic city of Bangkok, the rural solitude of a village close to the banks of the mighty Mekong River, the delightful city of Chiang Mai and ended up at a beautiful beach resort in Koh Lak.
